In the first half of 2020, a total of 136,434 technology contracts were registered nationwide, a year-on-year decrease of 7.3%, and the transaction volume was 770.72 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.5%. National technology transactions continued to maintain a steady growth momentum. Among the four types of technology contracts, the turnover of technical service contracts was 368.41 billion yuan, ranking first among the four types of contracts, with a year-on-year increase of 0.7%; the turnover of technology development contracts was 325.19 billion yuan, an increase of 22.9%; the turnover of technology transfer contracts dropped significantly, and the turnover was 59.77 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 22.6%; technical consulting contracts increased compared with the previous year, with a transaction volume of 17.35 billion yuan.
According to statistics by technical fields, the top three fields in terms of transaction volume are electronic information, urban construction and social development, and advanced manufacturing. Among them, the electronic information technology contract turnover continued to maintain its position, with a turnover of 220.89 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.5%; the rapid growth of urban construction and social development ranked second, with a turnover of 131.28 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 64.9%; advanced manufacturing The industry’s transaction volume was 95.96 billion yuan, ranking third. Among various technical fields, aerospace, biomedicine and medical equipment, new materials and their applications increased compared with the same period last year.
According to the statistics of technology trading entities, corporate legal persons continued to maintain their status as technology trading entities, exporting 94,243 technology contracts with a transaction volume of 689.97 billion yuan, accounting for 89.5% of the total technology contract transactions in the country. The turnover of technology export contracts by scientific research institutions increased, with a turnover of 38.99 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.0%, and 13,298 items were exported. The output of colleges and universities dropped significantly, with 23,508 items exported and a transaction volume of 16.12 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 61.7%.
According to statistics by type of intellectual property, 56,287 technology contracts involving intellectual property were signed, with a transaction volume of 361.20 billion yuan, accounting for 46.9% of the total technology contract transactions in the country. Among them, there were 28,686 technology secret contracts with a turnover of 168.60 billion yuan; 16,836 computer software contracts with a turnover of 62.33 billion yuan; 8,155 patent technology contracts with a turnover of 105.40 billion yuan.
According to plan categories, a total of 19,521 technology contracts for government science and technology plan projects at all levels were signed, with a transaction volume of 140.25 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.4%. Among them, there were 5,015 national and departmental planned projects, with a turnover of 25.03 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 10.1%; there were 7,181 provincial (regional, municipal) planned projects, with a turnover of 59.82 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.0%.
